Case Histories

I frequently get questions from prospective patients and other doctors regarding the problems or conditions that can be helped with Osteopathy Treatment.

Osteopathic Treatment can be used as the singular or primary treatment for a particular problem or injury, or it can be used as complementary treatment.

Complementary Medicine or Complementary Treatments are defined as a group of diagnostic and therapeutic disciplines that are used together with conventional medicine. An example of a complementary treatment is adding Osteopathic Manipulation to help treat the side effects of chemotherapy or radiation therapy in cancer patients; or using Osteopathic Manipulation with antibiotics to treat pneumonia; or integrating Osteopathic Manipulation with anti-arrhythmia drugs in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

Listed below is an extensive list of the variety of diseases, injuries, problems, or disorders that I treat using Osteopathic Manipulation.

Case Histories

Presenting Case Histories can be a valuable way to view in more detail the type of patients I see and the category of conditions that I treat. I don’t want these case histories to be confused with testimonials. My attempt is to allow these case histories to speak for themselves and offer a window into the complexity of healing that occurs when using an Osteopathic approach in health care. Each of these case histories is an educational vignette that tells a story. I will end each story with a discussion that will allow for a better understanding of my work as an Osteopath.

I have changed identifying details regarding each case to preserve patient confidentiality. I have altered events, rearranged specific features, and sometimes have changed the gender of the patient. However, the basic exam, treatment, and conclusions for each case have been preserved.
